Kim De Arcangelis (formerly Kim Woods) has national litigation experience and currently represents numerous employees in matters involving wage disputes, misclassification, retaliation and discrimination. Mrs. De Arcangelis has experience litigating these claims in federal and state courts and arbitration. Prior to joining the Employee Rights Group at Morgan & Morgan, Mrs. De Arcangelis represented employers and insurance carriers and she uses that experience to better server her current clients . Mrs. De Arcangelis has both bench trial and federal jury trial experience. Throughout her career, Mrs. De Arcangelis has successfully obtained unpaid wages and other damages on behalf of thousands of employees throughout the United States in both single plaintiff and class and collective actions. For example, Mrs. De Arcangelis represented a class of NFL Cheerleaders who alleged that they were not paid for practices, various appearances and other time in Pierre-Val, et al. v. Buccaneers Limited Partnership, LLC., d/b/a Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Case No.: 8:14-cv-01182, United States District Court, Middle District of Florida-Tampa Division. She also represented a class of Road Patrol Deputies and Corrections Officers who alleged that they were not paid for mandatory meetings in Ruddell et al. v. Flagler County Sherriff’s Office et al., Case No.: 3:14-cv-00873, United States District Court, Middle District of Florida-Jacksonville Division. However, in addition to standing up to corporations on behalf of her clients, Mrs. De Arcangelis also spends her time serving as the Orlando Division President of the Friends of 440 Scholarship Fund, which is a statewide charitable organization that raises scholarship funds for children of injured workers. Mrs. De Arcangelis is admitted to the Florida Bar (2006) and in U.S. District Courts including the Middle, Northern and Southern Districts of Florida, Southern District of Indiana, Western District of Tennessee, and Northern District of Illinois.
